1-Day "Grow Our Own" Fruit and Vegetable Training Sessions
During 2011-2012 Groundwork NI successfully delivered over 30 "Grow Our Own" sessions across Northern Ireland to over 380 individuals, community groups and other organisations.
New dates for 2013 will be confirmed soon.
Belfast Course Dates:
The sessions are open to everyone and are ideal for people who are keen to start growing their own fruit and vegetables at home in a backyard, garden or on an allotment. During the day you will learn all of the basics of growing fruit, vegetables and herbs, so whether you're a beginner or have a little experience and wish to learn more, this 1-day session session will be a perfect start to the year!
Cost
There is a limit of 15 places on each course and the cost is £60 per person.
Each person attending will receive 1-days training, refreshments and lunch, a course information pack including a 36-page colour booklet “Grow Our Own – A Beginners Guide to Growing Fruit & Vegetables”, packets of seeds, course completion certificate and containers planted up with seeds or seedlings so you can start your very own vegetable garden when you return home.
All of the above training sessions will be held here at Groundwork NI. Places are limited so please book early. Places will only be guaranteed on payment, which should be made at least 7 days prior to the course.
PLEASE NOTE: We can also tailor the 1-day session to groups (minimum of 12) anywhere in Northern Ireland who have their own venue, on a day that suits. Contact Groundwork NI for more details.
